We’re bringing some good ole yule tide fun, along with even more collectibles that can’t be outdone. This event has already kicked off, all bright and merry, with adorable gifts that are festive and cheery. A new snowflake icon that looks crystal clear, and a new party hat icon to bring in the new year. And what’s that? A new trinket too? It’s an adorable Darumari souvenir, waiting just for you. These treasures will fill you with glee, when you just log on to Overwatch 2 and get them for FREE.
6v6: More the Merrier!
If you have been looking for challenging ways to play, oh boy are we going to make your day. We’re brawling through the snow, with now 6v6 battles on King’s Row. With two tanks now on each team, you can be sure the jingle bells will ring. The rules are 2-2-2, which you should be familiar, but our newer heroes will make things peculiar. Our patch notes will have some balance changes to make things fair, be sure to read them so that you can prepare. January 6 is when the experiment ends, be sure to group and play with your best friends.
Play Your Favorite Winter Brawls
When you invite your friends by clicking their BattleTag names, you don’t have to be stuck playing silly reindeer games. Your favorite winter brawls are in the Arcade, packed with lots of winter fun every time they are played.
Mei’s Snowball Offensive is first on the list, featuring your favorite climatologist. Whether you play 5v5 elimination or free-for-all deathmatch, the snowballs will be flying with intense dispatch. Then go exploring for a carnivorous Yeti, in the 5v1 brawl that leaves you in a frenzy. That’s right Mei’s Yeti Hunt is back, so be sure to carefully plan and lay down your trap. And if that is not enough fun in this celebration, then let’s queue up for some Freeze Flash elimination. It’s Overwatch’s take on freeze tag, where eliminations are not as permanent, because allies can thaw you so that you can get back into it. No matter which of these winter brawls you decide to play, you can be sure you’ll have fun every day!
New Challenges for New Presents
Regardless if you play Arcade, Quick Play, or Competitive, there are new rewards that you can earn that are incredibly lucrative. You can already earn the Causal Hanzo skin right now, and completing the Winter Wonderland challenges is how. There is also new sprays and name cards to deck the halls, but surprise… we now got more rewards for you all. In past Winter Wonderland events, there was a brand-new skin to earn for free, but starting December 19, we’re giving you the chance to earn THREE!
Three new challenges will appear, which will reward three legendary skins that will make their premiere. When you complete just three fun and festive games, the Merry Marionette Echo Legendary Skin shall be gained. Playing a total of six games won’t leave you frosty, because Cassidy’s new Legendary Skin and Highlight Intro will be nice and cozy. Finally, playing nine games will be just as sleek, with Widowmaker’s Legendary Skin and Highlight Intro that is totally winter chic. And don’t forget! Wins count as double. So, it really shouldn’t be too much trouble.
Premium Bundles for Your Holiday Wishlist
Finally, like a hot baked cookie fresh from the oven, a new premium skin is still available for the Mercy Main coven. When you add the Happy Holly Mercy bundle from the shop today, you’ll be all the talk at your next holiday party. Holly Jolly Twitch Drops
