Hello heroes, we’re excited to share that Pride is returning to Overwatch 2. We know how important Pride is for so many of you—it’s special for many of us that work on Overwatch 2 as well—and we love being able to take this time to stand up and celebrate the unique diversity that all of us share.
Celebrating Pride In-Game
We’re kicking things off with fun rewards and festivities. Log-in to Overwatch 2 from May 30 to June 30 and receive a new rare “Resilient” Pride skin for Solider: 76, along with a new rainbow smoke bomb emote. Everyone will have their sights set on you when you show off your Pride in-game.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Pride in Overwatch 2 unless we brought back the unique Pride festival to the Midtown Hybrid Map. Pride festivals around the world continue a tradition of showing courage and solidarity for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community, and Midtown is no different. You’ll be able to play in the Midtown celebration in Quick Play, Competitive, and its own dedicated card within the Arcade. Jump in and play before the confetti stops falling on June 30th.
Futures Past
We have a brand-new short story, Futures Past. This is a sobering tale of Soldier: 76 looking back not only on his past, but more importantly, looking forward and fighting for what matters: a bright future for everyone. Check it out here!
Show Us Your Colorful Art
We are putting out a call-to-action for all of you to show off your creative talents! Send us your fan art and we’ll put the best pieces together into a stylish montage that we’ll be displaying here at the Blizzard campus in Irvine. We look forward to seeing your creations and having you help us celebrate Pride in Irvine.

We will always celebrate our LGBTQ+ Heroes, players, fans, and team members who play, build, and support Overwatch 2 all year round. Remember that you are unique to this world, but that doesn’t mean you are alone. No one can take away the amazing things that make you a positive force in the world. Everyone will always be welcome in our amazing community.
You will always exist, and you will always matter. That is what makes you a hero.
